# Navigating the Platform

A walkthrough of the main interface: the left sidebar menu, the welcome screen, and tips for efficient navigation.

## The Left Sidebar Menu

The **left sidebar** is your main navigation tool in BlueRockTEL. It is always visible and gives you direct access to every area of the platform.

The main menu sections are:

| **Clients**      | Client records, contacts, folders, services        |
| **Prospects**    | Prospect records, pipeline, quotes                  |
| **Documents**    | Invoices, credit notes, quotes, contracts           |

| **Tools**        | Catalog management, import/export utilities          |
| **Support**      | Helpdesk tickets, SLA management                     |

## The Welcome Screen

Click the **BlueRockTEL logo** at the top of the sidebar to return to the welcome screen at any time. This is your home base, it provides a quick overview and shortcuts to common tasks.

## Finding Things Quickly

BlueRockTEL offers several ways to locate records without browsing through menus:

### The Search Field

Use the **search field** at the top of the interface to quickly find clients, prospects, invoices, or phone numbers. Just start typing a name, invoice number, or phone number and matching results will appear.

### In-Page Keyword Search

On any page within BlueRockTEL, press **CTRL+F** (or Cmd+F on Mac) to open your browser's built-in search. This is particularly useful for:

- Finding a specific field on a long configuration page
- Locating a particular entry in a large table
- Searching within invoice details or client notes

## Working with Multiple Tabs

One of the most effective ways to work in BlueRockTEL is to **open multiple browser tabs**. For example:

- Open a client record in one tab and their billing folder in another
- Keep the client list open while editing a specific record
- Compare two invoices side by side

> **Tip:** Right-click any link in BlueRockTEL and select "Open in new tab" to keep your current page open. This avoids losing your place when you need to check something in a different section.

There is no limit to the number of tabs you can have open simultaneously. Each tab maintains its own state independently.

## Navigation Tips

- **Click the logo** to return to the welcome screen from anywhere
- **Use the search field** for the fastest way to find a specific record
- **Use CTRL+F** to search within the current page
- **Open multiple tabs** to work on different areas at the same time
- **Use the sidebar** to navigate between major sections of the platform
